Assessing Climate and Human Activity Effects on Hypersaline Lake Ecosystem: Case Study of Saki Lake, Crimea

چکیده
In the Crimean Peninsula, there are several hypersaline lakes that have hydromineral and biological resources. However, they under a significant anthropogenic load, which together with climate change leads to negative consequences for ecosystems. The aim of work was study seasonal changes physicochemical parameters water (temperature, pH, oxygen content, salinity, redox potential Eh, optical density transparency) Artemia population in Saki Lake 2022. For daily fluctuations temperature, O2, CH4 CO2, vertical temperature profile measuring system installed at boundaries air, bottom depth 4 m spatial discreteness 0.2 m. drive sensors content gases assay air were installed. increase salinity Eh summer accompanied by an temperature. Simultaneously, decreases pH brine been observed. cysts found throughout year, nauplii mostly available during spring autumn, adults shown summer. obtained results demonstrated ecosystem within ongoing change, can be used development optimal management mineral resources such bodies.

In a study of a lake having a higher concentration of salts than the Dead Sea, all of the heterotrophic bacteria isolated were aerobes; no strictly anaerobic strains were found. Ninety percent of the strains were euryhalines and ten percent were strict halophiles. The extreme halophiles belonged to the species Halobacterium trapanicum and Halococcus morrhuae.

متن کاملClimate Change Impact on the Marine Lakes and their Crustaceans: The Case of Marine Hypersaline Lake Bakalskoye (Ukraine)
All over the world hypersaline lake/lagoons are threatened by climate change. The marine Bakalskoye Lake (Ukraine) was studied in 2000-2012. The paper considers changing crustaceans within the context of the lagoon changes. A sharp drop of salinity occurred in 2004 due to a changed wind rose because the strong winds of Western direction began to dominate, and as a result, washing away of the sp...
